Overview
The Croft Care Home offers a warm and welcoming environment at the heart of a friendly village community. Residents receive high-quality, person-centred care and support in a safe and homely setting, helping them maintain independence, enjoy daily life and feel truly at home.
Tucked away on the outskirts of Amersham, our home offers a peaceful retreat while keeping the town’s shops, library and GP practice just a short journey away. Here, life moves at a comfortable pace, and every corner of the home is designed to feel welcoming and personal.
Residents can unwind in cosy bedrooms, enjoy conversation in intimate lounges, or gather in spacious communal areas for activities and social time. Step outside into our landscaped garden, where sun-dappled paths, colourful flower beds and quiet seating spots provide the perfect setting for relaxation, reflection, or a chat with friends.
With 24-hour tailored care, we focus on understanding what makes each resident unique, supporting their daily routines, hobbies and preferences so they can feel fully at home and truly themselves.
At The Croft, we love it when animals come to visit, including bearded dragons, chinchilla, rabbits, guinea pigs and dogs.
We use one of our smaller lounges which is a good spot for quieter activities and reminiscing. We’ve gathered lots of objects to stimulate memories and conversations, including books, records, knitting patterns, tea sets, old magazines and Royal Family memorabilia.
We are lucky enough to have two gardens here which you can relax and watch the wildlife in. If you have an interest, you can get involved in gardening, planting hanging baskets and filling the bird feeders.
Dining
At The Croft Care Home you will be served freshly prepared home cooked meals by our team of expert chefs. They ensure all our meals are healthy, nutritionally balanced and, most importantly, locally sources wherever possible. Meals are served in our superb dining room, but you also have the option for food to be served in your room for a more private dining experience.
Nutrition is an important part of the care we provide. That’s why our catering team take time to get to know your likes and dislikes before putting together a vibrant and varied menu for you to choose from.
Bedrooms
We have 60 bedrooms for people living at The Croft Care Home, with a range of room sizes, including some that can accommodate couples. Ground-floor rooms offer lovely views of the garden and patios, while first-floor rooms are fully accessible via stairs or a lift.
Each bedroom is a blank canvas, allowing you to personalise it with your own photos, pictures, and furniture to make it feel like home. Personalising your space also helps our care team understand what’s important to you, supporting the building of warm, meaningful relationships.
Gardens
Our home features two beautifully enclosed and secure gardens, one at the front and one at the back, offering peaceful outdoor spaces for residents to enjoy. The gardens are filled with colourful planters and raised beds bursting with flowers and vegetables, and there are plenty of comfortable spots to sit and relax.
These gardens are perfect for outdoor activities, gentle exercise or dining al fresco. Nature enthusiasts will particularly enjoy spending a sunny afternoon watching the birds nesting in the mature trees, making our outdoor spaces a tranquil retreat throughout the year.
