About Us
36 West Street provides support for six individuals with learning disabilities and physical disabilities; these may be multiple complex disabilities including an enduring health condition and some behavioural support needs.
Our home features four spacious ground-floor bedrooms that are fully accessible and tailored for wheelchair users. Each bedroom is equipped with ceiling tracking to ensure that personal care is conducted in a dignified, safe, and comfortable manner. Additionally, on the first floor, we offer two self-contained apartments, each comprising a bedroom, a lounge, and a kitchen. Our home includes several communal areas, such as a lounge, a quiet room, a dining area, and an assisted shower facility. We also benefit form a sensory room and a private garden equipped with raised flowerbeds. These amenities empower the people we support to enhance their skills and foster independence.
Our home is located in Wombwell, Barnsley. It is conveniently near local amenities, parks, and recreational spaces, and benefits from accessible bus services.
