A warm welcome and thank you for choosing Ray of Sunshine Care Ltd to deliver your care and support. Ray of Sunshine Care has provided domiciliary care and support services in Birmingham for
over 1 year. We are regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission.
We will endeavour to provide you with a service that is of the highest quality. Your service will be designed to meet your individual needs and promote and support your rights, choices,
independence, and quality of life. Put simply, we will deliver the services you require in the ways that you want to support you to live as independently as possible.
About Us
Ray of Sunshine was formed in 2020 and registered by the CQC in 2021 to provide care within your environment and help people to remain as independent as possible. Our Services are designed for adults over 18, whether it is an occasional visit for companionship or daily assistance with practical tasks like washing, dressing and help with mealtimes or medication.
Statement of Purpose
Our Statement of Purpose outlines the care we provide and should be used in conjunction with this Service Users Guide. Both documents are available to all new prospective Service Users, family members and other relevant ‘interested parties’ with an interest in using our care service.
Aims & Objective
The overriding aim of Ray of Sunshine Care Agency is aims to provide continuous compassionate person-centred care. Our simple objective is to support people who cannot wholly look after themselves and build on our reputation for quality. We aim to stand out from other domiciliary care agencies by maintaining the highest levels of care and integrity in all our dealings, balancing the requirements of clients where our service is provided in their own home to help improve quality of life and daily living. Whilst working with suppliers, the regulatory authorities and staff who will benefit from enhanced training opportunities.
We have sound principles for the way we run our service. Central to these is our belief that the rights of service users are paramount. We seek to advance these rights in all aspects of the services we provide and to encourage our service users to exercise these rights to the full.
Ray of Sunshine Care aims to:
Offer skilled care to enable people supported by us to achieve their optimum state of health and well- being.
Treat all people supported by us and all people who work with us with respect at all times.
Uphold the human and citizenship rights of all who work and visit here and of all Service Users.
Support individual choice and personal decision-making as the right of all Service Users.

Recognise the individual uniqueness of Service Users, staff and visitors, and treat them with dignity and respect at all times.
Respect individual requirement for privacy at all times and treat all information relating to individuals in a confidential manner.
Recognise the individual need for personal fulfilment and offer individualised programmes of meaningful activity to satisfy that need of Service Users and staff.
Ray of Sunshine will provide a service to adults aged 18, people with mental health issues, Dementia, Physical disability, Sensory impairment, Learning difficulties or autistic disorder.
Hours of operation
Ray of Sunshine Care provides services 24 hours per day 365 days a year.
Our office is open from 09.00 to 17.00 hours weekdays and can be contacted on 07935538790.

If you are generally feeling unwell or have had an accident you should either contact your own GP or call 999 in an emergency.
Please note that ‘out of hours’ services is intended to deal with urgent matters relating to the delivery of care and is not available to take advanced bookings or cancellations. The reason for this is to ensure that telephone lines are kept as free as possible for emergency situations with Service users.
