About Us
At Walfinch Birmingham South, we are a compassionate, community-focused home care provider delivering high-quality, person-centred support across South Birmingham and surrounding areas, helping individuals to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the familiarity of their own homes. Led by an experienced local team, our approach is built on dignity, respect, and kindness, ensuring care is delivered with the same level of attention and consideration we would want for our own families.
We offer flexible care packages tailored to each person’s needs, from short visits of 30 minutes through to full live-in care, with support that adapts as needs change over time. Our services include personal care such as washing, dressing, and continence support, companionship and emotional support, medication assistance, meal preparation and nutrition support, mobility and transfer assistance, respite care for family carers, convalescent care following illness or hospital discharge, night care, hospital-to-home support, end of life care, and complex care needs, all delivered consistently and with a professional, caring approach.
Every member of our care team is carefully selected, fully DBS checked, and trained to high standards, ensuring safe, reliable, and respectful care at all times. We place strong emphasis on building trusted, long-term relationships between carers and clients, promoting independence, wellbeing, and continuity while supporting individuals to maintain their routines and quality of life.
Alongside our home care services, we are proud to actively support the local community through our Thrive Clubs, which are free weekly exercise and wellbeing sessions delivered at various locations across the Birmingham. These sessions are open to all abilities and focus on gentle movement, strength, mobility, and social connection in a welcoming group environment. The Thrive Clubs also help support confidence, reduce isolation, and promote both physical and mental wellbeing, encouraging people to stay active and engaged within their community.
At Walfinch Birmingham South, we go beyond traditional home care by combining high-quality, personalised support with meaningful community involvement, helping people live well, remain independent, and feel connected in both their homes and wider community.
