About Us
Belgravia Care Home has recently completed an extension, enhancing our capacity and the quality of the accommodation we provide. We now offer 45 bedrooms, increasing availability for residents while maintaining the high standards of comfort and care for which we are known. All bedrooms have been thoughtfully designed with en-suite facilities, except for two rooms. These two bedrooms share a modern shower room, conveniently located between them. Situated directly on the promenade, many of our rooms benefit from stunning sea views, creating a peaceful and scenic environment that greatly enhances everyday living at Belgravia Care Home.
Unfortunately, the home does not have access to a private garden area. However, we are conveniently located next to Gynn Gardens, which offers a pleasant and accessible environment for our residents to enjoy nature and fresh air. Our care staff regularly accompany many of our residents who wish to visit Gynn Gardens, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their time outdoors. This has become a popular choice among residents. Additionally, we have benches situated right at the front of the care home where residents can sit comfortably and take in their surroundings without needing to travel far from the premises.
Our home offers a range of comfortable and welcoming spaces where residents can relax, or enjoy moments of quiet reflection. We have two main lounges designed for comfort, allowing residents to sit down and watch television in a friendly environment. In addition, there is a large sun lounge featuring spacious windows that offer beautiful sea views. This area provides an especially peaceful atmosphere where residents can appreciate the scenery from their cosy chairs. Belgravia Care Home also has two dining rooms where meals are served in a sociable yet homely setting. For those who prefer a quieter environment, we also offer a dedicated quiet lounge tailored to relaxation. We take great pride in ensuring that all communal areas contribute positively to our residents’ well-being and quality of life.
We are proud to offer a wide range of activities designed to promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and physical wellbeing. Our dedicated activity planner is updated regularly following residents’ meetings, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to share ideas and contribute to our programme. We provide an engaging selection of activities including board games, crafts, quizzes, chair-based exercises, singing sessions, dancing events, relaxing foot spa treatments, and enjoyable trips into the local community. These activities are planned with care to suit different interests and abilities. Our compassionate staff actively encourage all residents to take part in whichever activities appeal most to them. We believe participation helps maintain independence while creating a lively and friendly home environment filled with enjoyment and companionship. Our dedicated fitness instructor visits every two weeks to lead gentle exercise sessions tailored to suit all abilities. In addition, we regularly welcome entertainers who perform music and other live shows for our residents’ enjoyment. To add a touch of fun and companionship, we also arrange special visits from therapy animals – including a talented dog who performs tricks and a friendly parrot available for petting sessions. These experiences bring great joy and laughter to those who take part.
We have a mobile hairdresser who visits the home every Monday, offering male and female residents the opportunity to have their hair professionally styled without needing to travel. In addition, we have a qualified chiropodist/podiatrist who attends every seven weeks to provide foot care treatments. Furthermore, we offer annual eye examinations carried out by a mobile optician who visits the home to ensure that residents receive appropriate vision care.
We ensure that comprehensive verification procedures, including DBS and reference checks, are completed before any member of staff begins their role within our organisation. We take great care in selecting compassionate and dedicated professionals who share our values of respect, dignity and quality care.
We are dedicated to ensuring the highest quality of care for all our residents, particularly during the end-of-life stages. We will accommodate end-of-life care whenever possible, as we strongly believe that consistency and familiarity are paramount to an individual’s overall well-being and comfort. Our residents remain at the heart of everything we do, guiding our approach and values across all aspects of our service delivery.
Our team is available should you require any further assistance or have additional queries regarding our services. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via email or telephone if there is anything we can help you with.
