About Us
Spring Mount is a home in the Heaton area of Bradford, which can accommodate 25 residents. Care can be provided for those with dementia. Spring Mount also offers the following short stay services; respite care.
Accommodation is for residents of all ages with Dementia. It is particularly appropriate to younger people, currently the average age is about 60 years old.
Residents are cared for in a way that respects their rights and dignity. The focus is on ensuring they have total access at all times to nature, fresh air and sunshine. There are large grounds where residents can walk freely. Residents are not confined to the house alone, they have access through several doors to the extensive and beautiful grounds, where on good weather days we spend hours out on the lawn playing games and eating our BBQ's. We find with this approach that we don't have to resort to the use of sedating medication to control behaviour, which is often interpreted as troublesome. . Our residents are encouraged to be active and engaged in the environment. Our tried and tested philosophy helps to maintain and improve the quality of life of the these residents who have experienced so many losses associated with their Dementia.
