About Us
Rottingdean Nursing and Care Home is a nursing home in the picturesque Rottingdean area of Brighton, which can accommodate just under 35 residents - it has a 'Good' rating from the CQC. The front of the home has spectacular views towards Rottingdean Windmill and obliquely to the sea.
We have recently been inspected by the Local Authority PAMMS scheme where we received a rating of Excellent. (The Provider Assessment and Market Management Solution (PAMMS) is an online assessment tool) which is used to assess the quality of care delivered by providers of adult social care services.
The home is owned by Carol and Jon Breeds who take great pride in delivering a home from home experience for residents. Our staff our carefully picked for their qualities, compassion and skills.
We are proud to say that we have a very low use of agency staff, which enables us to deliver high quality care with excellent continuity.
All meals in the home are prepared on the premises by a chef who takes great pride in producing high quality nutritious food for residents.
The home has an activities team, and we offer daily group activities, regular trips out, and one to one sessions in resident's rooms.
We are able to offer respite care for a minimum of one month. Most residents in the home are permanent resident. We offer palliative and end of life care, and work closely with other multi-disciplinary teams such as Speech and Languages, Parkinson's, Tissue Viability, Occupational Therapy, Martlets Palliative Care Team, Dietician service amongst other services.
Residents are all registered with a General Practitioner at Saltdean and Rottingdean Surgery.
We have weekly input from an externally contracted Physiotherapist (included in rates), and six weekly podiatrist visit (not included in rate)
Unisex Hairdresser visits fortnightly (not included in rate)
