Overview
Woodlands Manor, in Winterbourne (Bristol) is a recent addition to our group. It is a purpose built 58-bed nursing home set in beautiful landscaped gardens. Our residents can live a happy and fulfilling life with us surrounded by our range of animals and birds in the grounds, not to forget our large Koi Carp pond. Woodlands really does have a lovely friendly feel about it, and it is well decorated with various communal areas for residents to choose to spend their time.
Care Quality Commission (CQC) Rating - Good
We have an accessible private garden which provides beautiful space to enjoy throughout the year and a lovely conservatory to look out to the pond. We are proud to offer a warm and friendly place for residents and visitors to enjoy. Our team have a fantastic reputation locally for providing excellent standard of care, promoting independence and dignity to all they work with. The happiness and health of our residents is are the forefront of everything we do, where we strive to encourage social relationships and provide a wide range of activities tailored to each individual to enjoy.
Woodlands offers residential care, nursing care and specialist dementia care, where we can also accommodate day and respite care. We pride ourselves in offering an excellent activities program that helps our residents live a stimulated and fulfilled life.
Our full-time activity coordinator is paramount in designing an activity plan that caters for both group and individual activities. We work very hard with our care staff to ensure activities are offered and delivered to all residents each day. We work hard to provide activities to suit preferences but also to offer new things to try daily.
Our head chef is passionate about delivering home cooked food from a varied menu with the best available ingredients. He is dedicated in adding a personal touch to every dish she prepares, where she often attends resident meetings to gain valuable feedback herself and implement any changes brought to her attention. We regularly review our menu to ensure we are offering a variety to suit all tastes and preferences, and our chefs are trained in preparing special diet specific meals.
