About Us
Paternoster House is a welcoming care and nursing home in Cirencester, providing compassionate residential, respite, dementia and nursing care for up to 40 people living there. Formerly run by The Order of St John’s Trust, the home has now joined the Agincare family. This ensures that this much-valued local service can continue to support people in the community.
Our home provides 24-hour a day tailored care in a home-from-home setting, which you are encouraged to personalise and make your own. Paternoster House is fully equipped with everything you need and our team ensures that every detail is to your liking; helping you feel comfortable and settled as soon as you move in.
Social activities
Our residents help shape the activities we offer, from pottery and bingo to trips to the garden centre and shopping in town. This ensures every activity is meaningful and enjoyable for them. Arts and crafts sessions such as drawing and painting are popular with many residents. These activities encourage creativity, conversation and enjoyment for people of all abilities. We regularly host movie nights in our lounge, complete with popcorn, drinks and films chosen by residents. These evenings are relaxed and social, offering a lovely way to unwind together. Residents enjoy spending time in our welcoming garden, which features colourful planting, visiting wildlife and plenty of comfortable seating. It’s a peaceful space for relaxing, socialising or enjoying a cup of tea in the fresh air.
Dining
At Paternoster House Care Home, mealtimes are a special experience. Our team of skilled chefs create freshly prepared, home-cooked dishes designed to delight the senses. Wherever possible, ingredients are locally sourced to ensure every meal is fresh, nutritious and full of flavour.
Residents can enjoy their meals in our elegant dining rooms or our light and tranquil conservatory, where the atmosphere makes every meal feel special. For those who prefer privacy, meals can also be enjoyed in the comfort of their own room, offering a personal dining experience.
Bedrooms
We can accommodate up to 40 residents, creating a friendly, community atmosphere. Our care home offers a mix of bedrooms, some with ensuite facilities and others with a convenient washbasin. For rooms without an ensuite, accessible bathrooms are always close by. All rooms are spacious, comfortable, and designed to feel like a welcoming personal retreat.
The bedrooms are a blank canvas for you to personalise with your own photos, pictures and furniture to help you feel at home. It also helps our care team understand what’s important to you.
When you move in, our fantastic team will be there to ensure the transition is as seamless as possible. At Paternoster House, our all-inclusive fee covers everything you need—towels, bedding, laundry, meals, and personalised care.
All you need to bring are your personal belongings to make your space feel like home, and we’ll take care of the rest.
