About Us
Cheviot Nursing Home is a 33 bed home in Lexden, close to the centre of Colchester. With qualified nurses on hand 24 hours a day, we provide compassionate care for residents with complex medical needs, offering support that is truly tailored for each person.
Cheviot is a bright and welcoming place where every resident feels truly understood, supported, and valued. Most of our bedrooms open directly onto our beautiful garden, and our inviting communal spaces make it easy for everyone to come together, chat, and enjoy time with others.
We encourage residents to enjoy social moments as well as a variety of uplifting activities designed to boost wellbeing and bring purpose to each day. Our dedicated team understand the importance of getting to know each resident and building positive relationships, to ensure that everyone’s care feels personal and familiar.
Families and friends are always welcome—whether you’d like to pop in for a chat, enjoy a cuppa with your loved one, or simply keep up to date, we take pride in welcoming and supporting you too.
Mealtimes are something to look forward to at Cheviot. Our chefs prepare delicious, home cooked meals using fresh, local ingredients, with plenty of choice for everyone.
Specialist diets and resident preferences are also catered for.
