Overview

Care at Stennings is residential home situated in the village of Copthorne, in the north of West Sussex, near to East Grinstead, Horley and Crawley. We're registered with the Care Quality Commision (CQC) to provide residential care for people under the age of 65, who have learning disabilites and autism. At our last inspection CQC we received a 'good' rating, and CQC confirm on a monthly basis that they have assessed the home and there are no areas of concern.

We have two houses, linked by a conservatory (which is our staff base), and we provide accommodation for 8 people.

The people who live at Stennings have varying needs and challenges and we support them with their daily living activities, cooking, maintaining their rooms and communal areas, etc. We support people to access the local community for social activities, eg day centres, cycling, horse riding, gym and swimming, cinema, etc. Copthorne has many local walks, a thriving church community, two cafes and two pubs. Throughout the year the village puts on various events, such as Bonfire Night, the Copthorne Carnival, Jazz on the Green, the Harvest Festival.

We attend Bloomin' Arts, Pericles, Surrey Choices, Outreach3Way, and Gravity Club, and other day and activity centres, and we enjoy the theatre at The Hawth in Crawley, and Chequer Mead in East Grinstead.

We are very happy for potential residents and their families to come to visit Stennings and to see what we have to offer.
