About Us
Walfinch Home Care Eastbourne provides high-quality, personalised home care that supports adults to live independently, safely, and confidently in their own homes. We believe care should do more than simply meet basic needs – it should help people maintain their independence, wellbeing, and connection to their community.
We support adults aged 18+ across Eastbourne and surrounding areas with flexible, bespoke care designed around each individual. Every person we support has their own routines, preferences, health conditions, and personal goals, which is why we do not offer rigid care packages. Instead, we take the time to understand what matters most to each person and design a care plan that fits around their life.
Walfinch Eastbourne is led by Poojita Patel, whose personal experience of recovering from brain tumour surgery has deeply influenced the vision and approach of the service. Experiencing first-hand what it feels like to rely on support highlighted the importance of compassionate, dignified care and the reassurance that comes from having the right people around you. It also reinforced how important it is to notice small changes in wellbeing early, as timely support can make a significant difference to recovery, confidence, and independence.
This personal perspective has helped shape a strong focus on prevention and proactive care. During routine visits, our team observes and reports any changes in mobility, appetite, hydration, mood, or overall wellbeing. By identifying concerns early, we can involve families and healthcare professionals before issues escalate, helping to reduce the risk of falls, deterioration, or avoidable hospital admissions.
Our services are designed to support both practical daily needs and overall wellbeing. These include:

Walfinch Eastbourne is also committed to supporting the wider community. We run a number of initiatives designed to promote wellbeing, connection, and early support. These include Thrive Club wellbeing sessions, which encourage gentle movement and social interaction, and community coffee mornings that bring together local residents, professionals, and organisations to strengthen community connections.
We also provide preventative wellbeing checks within the community through the Walfinch Wellness Blue Box, helping identify potential health or mobility concerns early and encouraging proactive support before problems escalate.
By combining high-quality home care with community engagement and preventative support, Walfinch Eastbourne aims to play an active role in strengthening wellbeing across the local area.
