Overview
The Laurels offers support for adults with learning disabilities and additional needs, including Prader-Willi Syndrome, epilepsy, autism, and obsessive behaviours. Each individual is supported through proactive and creative approaches tailored to their unique interests, skills, and abilities. Communication methods are personalised, ranging from verbal communication to visual aids, Makaton, and other systems.
The people we support enjoy a variety of activities, such as long walks, pottery, pampering, visiting charity shops and cafés, and social outings like bowling. Two house vehicles enable trips both locally and further afield. Days are filled with engaging opportunities, including film-making, drama, music and movement, and swimming.
The Laurels is a spacious detached house in Titchfield, featuring five bedrooms in the main house and a one-bedroom annexe with its own garden and entrance. The property includes a large dining room that opens onto a generous back garden, a connected kitchen, bright and wide ground-floor hallways, and a spacious bathroom.
The well-established team brings a diverse mix of knowledge and experience. They are committed to promoting choice, independence, and active participation within the local community.
