Overview
Merlewood is a residential home in Great Harwood which specialises in providing support to autistic adults. We currently support 5 autistic adults and now have one vacant room available.
Merlewood is a large detached house with a driveway to the front and a very large garden to the rear which also houses a large chalet where people we support can have some quiet time should they choose. It comes complete with furniture, TV and sensory equipment.
Most of the rooms that the people we support occupy are en-suite and decorations/colour schemes chosen by themselves.
We have a beautiful working kitchen where people are encouraged to become involved in making their own meals, a large living room as well as a conservatory/come extra dining room which over looks the garden.
Merlewood is within easy reach of all local amenities and access to the motorway to travel further afield.
Staff are trained to the highest standard and this is embedded within the workplace.
