Ashton House

Ashton House Nursing & Residential Home provides flexible care options and a comfortable lifestyle in a warm, homely setting surrounded by picturesque countryside. The dedicated staff offer personalized care tailored to each resident's preferences, including specialized support for individuals with dementia. The home is thoughtfully designed to accommodate wheelchair users, ensuring accessibility for all. Residents benefit from a range of engaging activities and events organized by the home, alongside enjoying balanced, nutritious meals prepared with care.

Ashton House is proud to offer both residential and nursing care, including a dedicated unit for elderly residents who are frail or mentally infirm. We also provide a day care service to support those who need assistance during the day. While our residents are generally over sixty years of age, we do accept younger residents if we can meet their nursing and care needs. Additionally, we often provide care for married couples or partners who require long-term nursing care and can no longer live at home independently.

Our accommodations include single and double bedrooms available on the ground, first, and second floors, with the majority of rooms featuring en-suite facilities for added comfort and privacy. Spacious lifts provide residents with easy access to all rooms, ensuring mobility throughout the home.

Ashton House is equipped with assisted baths, showers, and toilets to ensure that all residents receive the necessary support for their personal care needs. Various lounges are interspersed throughout the home, providing comfortable spaces for relaxation and socialization. One of our two dining rooms is a large lounge diner that leads to an enclosed walled courtyard/patio in the Hazelwood unit, offering a beautiful and secure outdoor space.

Our gardens have been beautifully landscaped for the enjoyment of our residents, providing a serene environment for relaxation and outdoor activities. The entire home is accessible to wheelchair users, ensuring that all residents can move around freely and comfortably. Additionally, we have a hairdressing salon with weekly visits from a local hairdresser to help our residents look and feel their best.
Namaste Care
The Namaste Care program at Ashton House provides exceptional comfort for individuals with advanced dementia, enhancing the satisfaction of both staff and families with the care provided. This seven-day-a-week care program integrates compassionate nursing with individualized, meaningful activities tailored to people with advanced dementia in the final stages of their lives.

Namaste Care aims to engage individuals through sensory input, particularly touch, enriching their quality of life. By focusing on sensory experiences, our program helps to create a calming and nurturing environment, offering peace and dignity to those in our care.

PHYSIOTHERAPIST - COMMITTED TO YOUR WELL-BEING
We have a full-time physiotherapist, who takes care in delivering tailored and holistic care to our residents.

We employ a team dedicated to ensuring that all of our residents are able, should they wish, to participate in a wide range of enjoyable and stimulating activities. Some activities are undertaken in groups whilst some residents prefer a one to one session.

Our dedicated transport, including a wheelchair-accessible vehicle, ensures residents can enjoy frequent outings, weather permitting. We also accommodate external appointments.
