Overview
Nestled in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds, Thimbleby Court is a beacon of refined residential care for older individuals. Situated in the tranquil residential precinct of historic Horncastle, our home is uniquely tailored to serve those in need, from those navigating the challenges of dementia to those seeking specialist end-of-life care, or even a brief respite.
Our ethos at Thimbleby Court is holistic. It’s not merely about care; it’s about understanding, empathy, and connection. Residents play an instrumental role in shaping their care journey, and the importance of family, community, and friendship is deeply embedded in our core. The local roots of many of our devoted staff further accentuate the sense of community, forging an environment of familiarity and trust.
Prioritising safety, we have implemented advanced nurse call systems throughout the home. Our vibrant Bistro stands as the heart of our home, branching out to an alfresco patio and the evocative “High Street”. Here, residents can indulge in the charm of the “Open All Hours” shop, converse at the “Tipsey Piglet” pub, rejuvenate at the “Cuts n Curls” salon, and delve into stories in the “Cosy Corner” library.
Our 58 spacious en-suite rooms, curated with elegance and warmth, many open onto intimate balconies facing the serene central courtyard. Each room is a cocoon of comfort, tastefully furnished and adorned in vibrant hues. Outside, the grounds whisper tales of nature, with fragrant plantings, serene pathways, and immersive sensory gardens.
Just beyond Thimbleby Court’s embrace, the allure of Horncastle emerges. Moments away is the lively high street, a mosaic of antique shops, galleries, and award-winning dining spots. Known for its vibrant weekly and monthly farmers’ markets, Horncastle is where history meets modernity. And, for the nature aficionados, the expansive Lincolnshire Wolds, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offer an undulating canvas of nature’s finest. At Thimbleby Court, life is lived in the embrace of care and the lap of nature’s splendour.
