About Us
Tynwald has a 'Good' rating from the CQC.
Tynwald Residential Home was formed by the Kate Alice Butterworth Charity in 1961 to serve the older people of Hythe Kent and the surrounding area, registered with the charity commission Charity Number 212297
CQC Rated as a GOOD home in 2020. And compliant with infection control measures in 2021 CQC continuously reviews our registration and compliance.
Tynwald has been part of the local Hythe community since 1960 caring for several generations; we have cared for our local community's great-grandparents, grandparents, and parents. Many referrals to our services are from people in the local community recommended by people who know our service there is no better referral than one from the heart.
We are a not-for-profit service open to all who may require support we serve the areas of Hythe Kent and extend this into Folkestone, Romney Marsh, Sellinge and Saltwood, we also consider people who may live further afield and need to move locally to family or friends living within one of the areas mentioned.
Tynwald Residential Care Home offers 24-hour person-centered support for up to 26 People in a homely setting
Tynwald Community Support Service offers one-to-one support to encourage social inclusion and stop isolation
The Tynwald Club supports people living in the community who don't fit the standard daycare model and are encouraged to Come And Meet Each Other within the residential home where we can offer individual support from 10 am until 3.30 pm Monday - Friday we can extend this to early mornings, evenings and weekends should this be required. Sunday lunch is always on offer for those who would like to join us.
Tynwald Tool Box Service will take care of the small jobs in and around your home for a small fee our maintenance team will come along and put right all the little wrongs. We have a network of reliable contractors who will also quote for those larger jobs.
