Overview

Canal Vue is a residential home over looking the canal in the area of Ilkeston, which can accommodate a total of 68 residents. Canal was rated overall 'GOOD' by CQC in October 2024.
Care can be provided for those with or without dementia, learning disabilities and mental health needs. Our fully trained staff also offer end of life and palliative care supporting both the individual and their family.
Canal Vue also offers the following short stay services; respite care, intermediate care and rehabilitation as well as discharge to access placements and long term care.

We have two activity coordinators who work through each week bringing memorable live performers and interactions into our home for all residents to enjoy.
We have a therapy dog called Jasper who visits us every two weeks providing vital emotional support during group and 1-1 interactions with our residents.
Our activity coordinators plan 1-1 activities as well as group and larger events such as summer fairs, mini zoos, and fund raising opportunities to encourage the community to become involved.

Canal Vue have recently had a mini bus purchased to enable us to plan larger activities and day trips for our residents, making memories at every opportunity.
