About Us
Havenmere is a 38 bedded unit caring for individuals presenting with Complex care needs. Half of the building is set for complex clinical needs and the other for complex behaviours.
There are 4 units each offering a specific area of expertise and care. High level challenging behaviour, high level clinical need, mental health support and lower level behaviours/clinical need.
There are three 10 bedded units and one 8 bedded unit to include 2 apartments. Nurses have oversight of all service users throughout the day and night. All staff are trained to manage and support the service users assigned to each unit through specialist training in addition to the mandatory training. We currently have service users presenting with Motor Neurone Disease, Huntington disease, Dementia, parkinsons, Aquired Brain injuries, Epilepsy, mental illhealth, Diabetes, Enteral feeding, catheter care support, Complex wounds and rehabilitation. We have also supported individuals with Spinal injuries. We are currently supporting a service user to attend University and have a designated team of activity staff to enable community access and engagement.
