Overview

Ashfield House is an 8-bed residential service for adults with learning disabilities and other complex support needs.
Nestled in the idyllic Worcestershire countryside, Ashfield House is a ‘home from home’, supporting up to eight adults with learning disabilities to live a life of opportunity.
Working at Ashfield House is a unique and rewarding experience, a small, warm, and welcoming home with a team that prides itself on maximising the skills and capabilities of the people we support to feel valued, productive, and empowered.
Camphill Village Trust are a values-based organisation who put the people we support first. The purpose is focused on the people in our care and making a difference to their lives. We don’t need to make a profit; we just need to make a difference!
No two days are the same at Ashfield House - we tailor both group and individual activities to bring all the adventures and fun that life has to offer.
The environment and location of Ashfield House is designed to promote active participation in a rural setting. Bedrooms can be furnished with the residents’ own personal belongings, promoting the ‘home’ philosophy of the service.
Residents are reviewed regularly including at reviews and CPA’s; multi-disciplinary team working is imperative to the successful support of residents. Information is shared in daily handovers; care plans and risk assessments are also reviewed accordingly. Any change in presentation will be subject to a multidisciplinary review and the environment adapted as required if possible.
We work to a therapeutic model of person-centred behavioural support; allowing individuals to have choice and autonomy with a view to achieving their goals, hopes and aspirations.
Our service aims to maximise each individual’s quality of life and social inclusion through working with people to help them acquire or regain the skills and confidence to live a positive, empowered and fulfilled life. The focus is on addressing and minimising the symptoms and functional impairment that people with complex needs may have, with an emphasis on achieving as much individual autonomy and independence as possible.
Ashfield House operates as a ‘whole system approach’ that includes a range of services that meet people’s social, mental and physical health needs. Hope for the future is at the centre of this collaborative support approach.
