About Us
Nestled in the peaceful village of Trebursye, Penbownder House has been providing compassionate care since 2001. Our home combines the charm of a 400-year-old building with a warm, supportive environment where every resident is treated with dignity, respect, and kindness.
We offer specialist care for up to 25 residents living with dementia, alongside 9 dedicated mental health beds, ensuring that each individual receives the understanding and personalised support they deserve. Our experienced team takes the time to truly get to know each resident, creating a sense of comfort, familiarity, and belonging.
Life at Penbownder House is full of warmth and activity. We provide a varied programme of events throughout the year, including visits from musical guests and our much-loved High Tea every Friday—an open invitation for families to join their loved ones and share special moments together.
Surrounded by beautiful gardens, our home offers a peaceful and relaxing setting for residents to enjoy the outdoors. Inside, no two rooms are the same, reflecting the unique history and character of our building and creating a truly homely atmosphere.
We are also proud to be a dog-friendly home, welcoming the joy and companionship that pets bring to everyday life.
