Overview

We are a small, family-run 24-bed nursing home nestled in the charming seaside town of Leigh-on-Sea. At Mountdale Nursing Home, we specialize in providing compassionate care for the elderly, individuals with dementia, and those in need of end-of-life support. Our dedicated team ensures that a nurse is available around the clock to attend to the needs of our residents. We warmly welcome both private and local authority/social service-funded residents. While our focus is on elderly, dementia, and palliative care, we also extend our services to individuals with a diverse range of care requirements.

Our facilities are designed to exude a homely ambience, and we actively encourage residents and their families to personalize their living spaces to create a comforting "home away from home" environment, rather than a clinical or institutional setting.

Our site boasts a communal living room, a beautifully maintained garden and canopy area, as well as a conservatory and secondary sitting area for those chilly winter days.

We take great pride in offering a rich array of daily activities carefully curated by our talented activity coordinator. Residents can look forward to a delightful variety of group activities, including engaging games like bingo, quizzes, and carpet bowls, as well as stimulating challenges like hangman. For those who prefer individual pursuits, our residents can enjoy leisurely games of checkers, unleash their creativity through arts and crafts, indulge in relaxing nail painting sessions, or simply savour the joy of heartfelt conversation and companionship.

Delicious, freshly cooked meals are prepared on-site every day, and we make every effort to accommodate a wide array of dietary needs, including residents with swallowing difficulties and special dietary requirements.
