About Us

Barnfield House is a residential care home for adults who are vulnerable due mental disorder or similar issues.

Our purpose (aim) is to provide accommodation, care, and support to those who do not require full time (in-patient) treatment in hospital but who nevertheless have difficulty participating fully as an independent member of the community. We also provide assistance to those seeking to achieve further independence into ‘Supported Living’ accommodation and respite accommodation on a temporary (short stay) basis.

Our objective is to assist service users to maximise their potential. For those who may have temporary difficulties we could be described as ‘a shelter until the storm passes’ and, for those with greater need, our objective is to provide a long-term home offering protection against vulnerabilities in a homely atmosphere.

Description of the location.

Barnfield House is a Care home situated in Liskeard, Cornwall. It is situated approximately 5 minutes’ walk from the town centre. Accommodation consists of 18 single bedrooms, 10 of which are on the first floor accessed via stairs with the remaining 8 rooms being on the ground floor. Seven of the ground floor rooms have en-suite facilities.
There is disabled / wheelchair access to the ground floor.
The home is run under the supervision of a Registered Manager (RM) and is a staffed 24 hours per day 365 days per year by persons qualified in accordance with CQC requirements.
There are 18 approved places / overnight beds.
