About Us

Southcroft Healthcare Lodge Ltd will provide supported living services exclusively for adults (18+) at the registered supported living locations.

In addition, we will provide domiciliary care services in the community for both children (aged 0–3, 4–12, and 13–17) and adults.

This ensures that children are supported in their family or community homes under the regulated activity of personal care, while adults may access either domiciliary care or sup-ported living according to their assessed needs.

All services are delivered in line with CQC regulations, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, and local safeguarding procedures.

Aims
• Support children (0–3, 4–12, 13–17) and adults suffering from:
o Mental health needs
o Physical disabilities
o Sensory impairments

• Provide high-quality, flexible and personalised supported living and domiciliary care services.

• Use an outcome-based approach to promote independence, wellbeing, and inclu-sion

• Provide service users with real choice and control over their care.

• Deliver bespoke social care services tailored to the needs and conditions of each service user.

• Optimise service users’ abilities and opportunities to improve their quality of life.

• Recognise and respect service users’ religious, cultural, racial, and gender identi-ties.

• Meet service users’ physical, emotional and developmental needs in a dignified and non-judgemental way.

• Ensure service users are always treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

• Safeguard service users of all ages from the risk of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.

• Involve service users and, where appropriate, their families in the care planning process.

• Ensure that all information received during the provision of care is treated with the highest standards of confidentiality and data protection.


Objectives
• Employ competent, trained, and caring staff.

• Ensure staff receive specialised ongoing training, aligned to required standards and competencies, including children’s care and complex needs.

• Obtain informed consent from service users (or parents/guardians for children).

• Follow health and safety procedures at all times to protect service users, staff, and families.

• Protect the privacy and dignity of service users during care delivery.

• Ensure that complaints are managed and resolved fairly within agreed timescales.

• Support service users to develop social, educational, occupational, or recreational skills according to their age and needs.

• Involve service users and families in the management and improvement of sup-ported living and domiciliary services.

• Provide a flexible service that adapts to changing needs without compromising quality.

• Promote positive communication and attitudes in all care interactions.


Principles of Service
1. Focus on the service user – promote active participation and involvement in care decision-making, regardless of age or ability.

2. Be fit for purpose – regularly review services; welcome feedback from service us-ers, families, friends, and stakeholders.

3. Thorough assessment – ensure health, developmental, risk, and social needs are fully assessed prior to service commencement and re-assessed regularly.

4. Comprehensive welfare – design care packages that positively impact the personal, health, developmental, and social needs of service users.

5. Cooperation – work in partnership with schools, healthcare professionals, commu-nity services, and other stakeholders to maximise independence and participation.

6. Understanding and transparency – support service users (and parents/guardians for children) to understand care management decisions.

7. Informed consent – always obtain informed consent prior to any process related to the provision of care.

8. Quality commitment – continuously improve care services for children and adults.

9. Continuous improvement – evaluate and refine service delivery to achieve the highest standards.

10. Quality workforce – ensure staff, including children’s care workers, meet profes-sional and statutory training requirements.

11. Policy compliance – ensure all staff adhere to the organisation’s policies and pro-cedures.

12. Regulatory compliance – maintain compliance with local and national requirements for supported living, domiciliary care, and children’s services.

13. Urgent response – maintain clear procedures for urgent follow-up by an appropriate healthcare professional or care worker if clinically or developmentally necessary.
