About Us
Stratford Road is a gated development comprising three self-contained units, located in the Plaistow area of Newham. The service currently provides self-contained accommodation for up to 3 individuals with high levels of need and is designed to support individuals of medium to high support need, with a primary learning disability diagnosis, to be significantly more independent in their homes and in the community. The service is registered with the CQC and is able to provide regulated activity.
In addition to receiving bespoke support from their dedicated teams, customers benefit from:
• A dedicated staff team providing between 1:1 and 2:1 support, 24/7
• An experienced and dedicated Registered Manager and dedicated Deputy Manager
• A self-contained space where independence can be promoted and choice maximised
• Full access to Look Ahead On Call systems
The staff teams are fully trained in Positive Behaviour Management, Safeguarding, Autism Awareness, Positive Relational Management, de-escalation techniques, and basic physical health checks (such as temperature and pulse monitoring). Support is delivered through personalised approaches tailored to individual needs and behaviours that may challenge.
People living at Stratford Road are supported to live the life they choose in a safe and homely environment within their community. Each person holds their own Assured Shorthold Tenancy and is actively involved in deciding how their support is designed and delivered. The service is well located for local amenities, as well as transport links across London.
Whilst the service is located in the London Borough of Newham, customers can be referred from any Local Authority and the service does accept out-of-borough referrals.
