About Us

Richmond Care is a, family-run nursing home providing high-quality, person-centred care for adults with complex and enduring mental health needs. We offer 24-hour nursing support within a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment, supporting individuals to achieve stability, improved wellbeing, and greater independence.

As a family-run service, we pride ourselves on creating a warm, inclusive, and values-driven culture where residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. This ethos underpins everything we do and contributes to a homely, supportive atmosphere.

We are proud to be rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), reflecting our commitment to delivering safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led services.

The service accommodates up to 26 residents and is staffed by a skilled multidisciplinary team, including both mental health and general nurses. This enables us to effectively support individuals with co-existing mental and physical health needs, ensuring truly holistic care.

The home is led by a manager with a social work background, bringing a strong understanding of safeguarding, person-centred practice, and partnership working. We work closely with residents, families, and external professionals to develop tailored care plans that reflect each individual’s history, strengths, and recovery goals.

In addition to our nursing and care staff, Richmond Care benefits from a dedicated wider team, including activity coordinators who promote meaningful engagement and social inclusion, alongside domestic, catering, and maintenance teams who ensure a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment.

Our approach focuses on empowerment and recovery. We aim to create a calm and supportive setting where residents feel safe and valued, while being encouraged to develop daily living skills, build confidence, and progress towards greater independence wherever possible.
