About Us
Clovelly house is a small residential care home in the heart of the fens. Clovelly was opened in 1984 and continues to give person centred care and support to residents over 65years of age. Clovelly House is owned by Grand Park Homes LTD and the directors are Kyu Han and Hasan Baker both Medical doctors.
Here at Clovelly House we pride ourselves on our staff; all our staff have a wealth of care experience and training, and above all else a caring quality that cannot be underestimated. Our staff see, spend time and care for our residents every day, knowing them, their past and present is central to how we care for them. Our care staff’s detailed knowledge means we heavily involve them in the writing and development of our person-centred care plans adapting our deliverance of care to the needs, preferences and wants of each of our residents.
Kim Marshall is Clovelly House’s registered Home Manager; working in health and social care for over 23 years, she has a wealth of experience that she has brought with her to Clovelly House. Since joining our team Kim has organised a number of new initiatives which highlight the person-centred care she is driven by, setting up postcards of kindness, tea towels from around the world, Santa Claus on Christmas day and many more! It is this thoughtfulness and caring attitude backed up by her knowledge of the industry which makes her a great addition to the Clovelly team.
Clovelly House has 21 rooms, single bedrooms come as standard but there are a few rooms which can accommodate a couple or life-long friends. Most bedrooms are en-suite and all bathrooms are equipped with specialist features that are designed to meet the needs of our residents. In addition to this, many residents have access to their own balcony or veranda which are lovely to use on a summer's evening. We provide all furnishings for our rooms but welcome residents to bring any furniture, ornaments or photos that they would like in order for them to feel more at home whilst staying at Clovelly House.
We have two lounges in the care home where residents may socialise. Our front lounge has high ceilings and period features, it is a busy meeting place where residents enjoy cups of tea by the fire and multiple activities such as exercise classes and arts & crafts. Our second lounge is placed at the rear of the house with French doors that open onto Clovelly House’s gardens. This is an ideal lounge for some quiet time or for a more private, personal chat with relatives and friends. We also find this room is the best place to host our singers and musical entertainment who visit regularly to perform for our residents.
The dining room overlooks the front of the property, it is a lovely space where residents can share conversation and enjoy their meals with a glass of wine or other refreshment.
Clovelly House is situated within extensive, well maintained mature gardens, loved and nurtured by our gardener who maintains the gardens on a weekly basis. They ensure that the gardens look beautiful all year around and are accessible for all, with decking and patios where residents may enjoy tea and cake or a glass of lemonade on a nice summer's day.
Clovelly House has a passenger lift which means the whole house is accessible for everyone with different mobility needs. CCTV is also fitted in communal areas of the house.
