Overview
Sandmere Care Home is a care home in the area of Margate, which can accommodate 68 residents. It is adjacent to the Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mother hospital and The Pilgrims Hospice. Margate train station is approximately one mile away with local buses running from a stop a few hundred metres away.
The home is purpose built and opened in October 2024. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission but do not yet have a rating. Sandmere Care Home is able to offers nursing, residential and dementia care, both permanent and short stay.
All of the bedrooms are single and all have an En Suite toilet and wet room. There are also assisted bathrooms for those that need support.
There is a dining room, lounge and quiet lounge on each floor. All lounges and dining rooms have a patio or balcony. In addition, there is a hair salon, cinema and a private dining room where families can celebrate special occasions.
All potential residents will have a detailed assessment carried out prior to a planned admission, to ensure that we will be able to meet their needs.
Our staff are all trained to a high standard, with Registered Nurses on duty at all times.
We encourage residents to maintain friendships, hobbies and interests that they had prior to coming into the home. A range of activities will be on offer, with a programme of events and activities each month.
There are beautiful landscaped gardens which are easily accessible. Residents are encouraged to help with the planting and growing, using our potting shed and greenhouse.
