About Us
Elm House aims to provide its service users with a secure, relaxed and homely environment in which their care, well-being and comfort are of prime importance.
Staff strive to preserve and maintain the dignity, individuality and privacy of all service users within a warm and caring atmosphere, and in doing so are sensitive to their ever-changing needs. Such needs may be medical/therapeutic (for physical and mental welfare), cultural, psychological, spiritual, emotional and social. Service users are encouraged to participate in the development of their individualised care plans. The involvement of family and friends may also be appropriate and is greatly valued.
All staff within the home are appropriately qualified to deliver the highest standards of care.
A continuous staff-training programme is implemented to ensure that high standards are maintained in line with the latest developments in care practices as may be laid down in appropriate legislation, regulations and by the Care Quality Commission.
The home provides accommodation for persons who require personal care for males and females over 65 or males and females under 65 years old who may have physical or age related care needs.
The home has been purpose built to a high standard and comprises 60 single bedrooms, 31 bedrooms have en-suite facilities and meet minimum standards, the home is arranged sympathetically to accommodate different service user groups in a therapeutic and person centered environment. The home has exceptional communal areas to promote independence and benefits from good quality furnishings and fittings to provide a tasteful and homely environment.
