Overview
Lancaster Grange is Newark's Premier Nursing Home, located in Fernwood on the former Balderton Airfield. Its rich history is where we get our name, the home has a monument and very strong relationship with the RAF which results in more than monthly visits to the residents, talks and services / memorials.
The home boasts 60 large en-suite rooms with most on the ground floor having their own rear door into our extensive garden and grounds with flat suitable path that leads around all the grounds and yet is enclosed and private from the public.
Friends and visitors are welcome 24-7 and there is a beautiful Café on the ground floor where residents and friends are free to drink tea and coffee and help themselves to freshly baked goods daily. We have a lovely hair salon where 4 times a week residents like to get their hair seen to professionally.
Lancaster Grange has an unrivalled reputation for its activity's, at least twice a week there are external outings on top of frequent visits to our local pub opposite "The Tawny Owl" and we always hole at least 3 different activity's in the home each day from exercise, crafts, social groups, gaming, talks and external entertainers like singers, magicians and actors.
We are very proud of the rich heritage our home has and the support given from the RAF here.
Currently staff turnover is at an all time low, we are fully recruited and boast some of the finest Nurse, Care Staff, Hospitality, Activity and Admin teams around.
Lancaster Grange is always clean, fresh and exciting and is a truly caring, nurturing home for the most important people in all our lives.
We would love you to come for a show round either by appointment or feel absolutely free to drop by unannounced and see for yourself our home that we are so unbelievably proud of
