Overview
The Manor House is the perfect retreat for residents who have lived in North Norfolk their whole lives as it offers a peaceful and rural environment full of happiness and team spirit. Many of the residents at the home are local and there is a family feel which extends to the visitors and staff.
The home provides spacious accommodation including a splendid conservatory, two dining rooms and a library.
Daily activities and entertainment are a core part of our quality care at The Manor House. We offer a range of activities that are person centred and based on our residents’ individual needs. We encourage residents to continue pursuing their favourite hobbies and pastimes or to try out something new entirely.
Our shared minibus is great for taking residents on regular excursions to local places of interest. We’re also passionate about keeping our homes and residents at the heart of the local community, working closely with community groups, schools and other community connections to keep residents involved in local activities.
Dining is an essential part of the care package we provide to our residents, not only from a general health and wellbeing perspective, but we believe residents should be able to enjoy eating what they want, when they want.
Our Head Chef talks to the residents every day and spends time with every new resident who comes into the home to ascertain their likes and dislikes. We also hold regular residents’ meetings to discuss mealtimes and there is a feedback book where people can leave comments on the food.
Our catering team prides itself on producing food of the highest quality, using local suppliers to create fresh, homemade dishes each day. Residents love the traditional meals and particularly our Fish Friday.
The Manor House is situated just two miles from North Walsham Wood and the Norfolk Broads and the Cromer and Sheringham coastal towns are within easy reach. Visits to Norwich are also a comfortable distance and visitors and residents can enjoy trips to the theatre and shopping. Felbrigg Hall offers a lovely day out exploring the gardens and there are plenty of local garden centres within close proximity.
The health and wellness of our residents is very important and we work closely in partnership with local health and wellness professionals to ensure every resident is able to lead a full and enriched life. We welcome visiting professionals such as GPs, chiropodists, opticians and can arrange visits to other professionals if and when it may be required.
