Welcome to Down House, a purpose-built residential and nursing home located in the Derriford area of Plymouth. Privately owned and rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we are committed to delivering high standards of care, comfort, and safety.

We provide protected mealtimes in our dining room, and our on-site parking and wheelchair-accessible spaces ensure easy visits for families and friends. For added convenience, we offer an escort service to appointments and comprehensive laundry and podiatry services.
Our comfortable rooms feature en suite and communal bathrooms, wet rooms, call bells, hoisting, TV points, meals served in bedrooms, and hairdressing – with double/twin rooms available for those wishing to share. Residents are welcome to bring their own furniture to create a familiar, homely environment.
Down House accepts self-funding residents, Local Authority funding (with or without top-up), and NHS Continuing Healthcare. Local amenities include a bar and doctor’s nearby.
