About Us
Apple Blossom House is a residential care home, offering support to six people with autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, Huntington’s Disease and learning and physical disabilities.
Each of our six bedrooms are equipped with their own en-suite facilities. One of the bedrooms is situated on the first floor, while the other five are located on the ground floor. The property boasts a variety of communal spaces, including a spacious lounge, kitchen, dining area, and conservatory, all ideal for engaging in activities with fellow housemates. Our home is designed for comfort and accessibility, equipped with ceiling tracking, hoists, height-adjustable beds, and countertops tailored for those who need them. We have a beautiful garden, perfect for enjoying the sunshine during the summer months.
Located in Tilehurst, Reading, we're situated near various local amenities such as a bowling alley, retail shops, a cinema, and educational institutions - providing opportunities for further learning. The home is well-connected to the community, featuring excellent transport links that enable the people we support to engage with their support teams and explore the surrounding area.
We promote active community participation and there are lots of great activities to get involved in, including arts and crafts, cooking, playing board games, listening to music, dancing, drama and visits to local attractions.
