About Us
Downshire House provides long term residential care for eight adults (18-65) with Learning Difficulties, Challenging Behaviour and Mental Disorders.
The home comprises of;
Grounds -
A gradient slant to the entrance of the house making it easy access, side walkways for easy entrance to the garden, large garden with pergola, seating area and nest swing, sensory garden with seating, and sensory room with en-suite.
Ground floor -
Large kitchen, large lounge, small lounge, large dining room, two ground floor bedrooms and a large wet-room.
First Floor -
1 en-suite bedroom, 4 bedrooms with sinks, 2 large bathrooms.
Second Floor - Self contained flat with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 lounge with kitchenette.
Activities
Various activities such as games, arts & crafts, karaoke and baking are available within the home. Residents can also participate in activities outside the home – activities our residents have previously taken part in including swimming, trampolining, drumming, bowling, cinema and college classes.
