• Skills for Care Accreditation Unique Senior Care is accredited by Skills for Care, the strategic workforce development body for adult social care in England, and the organisation responsible for setting the standards by which care sector training and employer practice are measured. Skills for Care accreditation is not awarded automatically or simply by virtue of operating in the sector. It reflects a formal assessment of an organisation's approach to workforce development, recognising providers that invest meaningfully in their people, maintain high standards of training and practice, and create the kind of working environment in which care staff can develop, thrive and deliver excellent care over the long term. • Unique Senior Care — Visiting Care and Nationwide Live-In Care CQC Rated Outstanding Registered office: 1584–1586 High Street, Knowle, Solihull, B93 0LF Unique Senior Care's Live-In Care service is rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, the highest rating achievable and one awarded to fewer than 4% of care providers in England. The service is registered at our Solihull office and delivers fully managed, round-the-clock live-in care to older adults and people with disabilities across the whole of England. The CQC's inspection, carried out in June 2021 and published in August 2021, awarded Outstanding ratings in two of the five key domains - Responsive and Well-led - with Good ratings across Safe, Effective and Caring. The CQC subsequently reviewed all available data in July 2023 and confirmed the Outstanding rating remains current. Together, these judgements reflect a service that goes beyond meeting expected standards: one that is exceptionally well-organised around individual needs and led with a clear, values-driven purpose. Being rated Responsive at the Outstanding level means the CQC found the service to be exceptionally well-tailored to each person, that care plans genuinely reflect individual preferences, life histories and changing needs, and that the service responds promptly and thoughtfully when circumstances change. Being rated Well-led at Outstanding reflects the quality of leadership, culture and governance that underpins everything the service does, from how caregivers are recruited, trained and supported, to how the organisation listens and learns. Unique Senior Care is a fully managed, CQC-regulated provider - not an introductory agency. This means clients and their families have a dedicated Care Manager overseeing their package of care, caregivers are directly employed and rigorously trained, and the organisation is legally accountable for the quality of every care arrangement it puts in place. • Excellence in Training, Recognised by Royalty: The Princess Royal Training Award — 2021, 2024 and 2025 Unique Senior Care has received the Princess Royal Training Award three times, in 2021, 2024 and 2025 - making us one of a very small number of organisations anywhere in the UK to have achieved this distinction on multiple occasions, and one of only three care sector organisations recognised in the most recent round. The Princess Royal Training Award is not an application that organisations fill in and submit hoping for the best. It is a rigorous assessment programme administered by the City & Guilds Foundation and personally endorsed by HRH The Princess Royal, awarded only to organisations that can demonstrate a direct and evidenced link between their investment in training and measurable, meaningful outcomes for the people they serve. In a sector where training is often treated as a compliance exercise, this award recognises something different: organisations that treat learning and development as a genuine driver of quality. Each of our three awards has recognised a distinct aspect of how we approach the development of our caregivers. Our most recent award, received in 2025, was given specifically for the redesign of our five-day, face-to-face Live-In Carer induction programme, a programme built not just to transfer knowledge, but to build confidence, resilience and readiness in the people who will be living with and caring for our clients in their own homes. The induction reflects a simple belief: that a caregiver who arrives at a client's home feeling genuinely prepared, supported and valued will provide fundamentally better care than one who has been processed through a tick-box training schedule. Over five days, new caregivers are given space to practise, to ask questions, and to engage honestly with the realities of the role, including its challenges, before they ever step through a client's door.
