About Us
Welcome to Sunnyside Home Care, your trusted partner in compassionate and professional care across Aveley and the wider South Ockendon area. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for both Domiciliary Care and Supported Living and hold a Good rating. While we offer a full range of home‑care services, we predominantly specialise in Supported Living, helping adults to live independently, confidently, and safely within their own homes and communities.
Our Supported Living service- is designed for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. We provide structured, personalised support that promotes independence, stability, and wellbeing. Our team works closely with each person to understand their goals, preferences, and strengths, ensuring that support is meaningful, respectful, and truly person‑centred.
A key part of our Supported Living offer is the My Life Programme. This is a structured and flexible programme that helps individuals develop practical independent‑living skills. It includes daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, and home management, budgeting and financial awareness, travel training, community engagement, social and communication skills, health and wellbeing routines, confidence building, and support with education, volunteering, or employment pathways. The programme is tailored to each person’s pace, abilities, and aspirations, helping them move towards greater independence and long‑term stability.
Alongside Supported Living, we also provide high‑quality domiciliary care for people who prefer support within their own home. We offer the same person‑centred, independence‑focused approach used in Supported Living, including tailored support for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. Our team can deliver the full range of support at home, including daily living tasks, personal care, community access, emotional support, and structured skill‑building. We can also bring elements of the My Life Programme directly into the home, helping individuals develop practical skills such as cooking, budgeting, home management, travel training, and confidence building. This service is designed to promote independence and wellbeing while enabling people to remain safely in the place they know best.
We also provide condition‑led support for people with complex health needs, including stroke and diabetes, as well as companionship, rehabilitation, and overnight or live‑in care. Our team offers specialist dietary support, cultural and faith‑based assistance, LGBTQ+ inclusive care, and the option of male or female staff. We are also pet‑friendly and can assist with domestic tasks, shopping, and escorted trips.
At Sunnyside Home Care, our focus is to help every person live life their way, with dignity, independence, and respect. Contact us to discuss your needs and learn how we can support you or your loved one at home or within a supported living setting.
