About Us
Situated in the peaceful village of Standlake, about four and half miles from Witney in Oxfordshire, Meadowview Nursing Home is set in gardens and grounds amounting to approximately 4.5 acres, backing onto open countryside.
The Nursing Home can accommodate 35 residents. Most of the rooms are situated on the ground floor and are predominately singles. There are double rooms available for couples if desired. Most of the single rooms also have their own access to the Nursing Home grounds. Each bedroom has its own ‘Nurse Call’ system, smoke detectors, television point and provision for personal telephone if required. There is a lift to the upper floor where there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom used for staff accommodation
Meadowview has a team of qualified, friendly staff dedicated to providing nursing care 24 hours a day. Health care Assistants work alongside the qualified staff. All staff are committed to providing the highest standard of care.
We have a maintenance person. a Housekeeper and domestic help to ensure the home is maintained and kept spotlessly clean.
ABOUT THE SERVICE USERS
The home provides care for residents of both sexes, are 65 years and above although in special circumstances younger people can be admitted if their needs can be met by the home after consultation with CQC. The home also offers respite care
Service users have to be assessed prior to admission to the home. The manager will make the decision whether their needs can be met by the home. Occasionally service users may be admitted in an emergency.
The care plans of the service users are reviewed periodically. The service user or their relative can ask to view or review the care plan, recognising the home will protect the service users right to confidentiality.
The service users are encouraged to engage in their choice of leisure pursuits, social activities and hobbies etc providing these activities do not interfere with other service users rights
The home welcomes the service users comments and reactions to their care and facilities offered. The home recognises the importance of feedback in order to promote high standards of care
Regular relative meetings are held at the home. Service users relatives are urged to comment on any aspect of the service provided which will assist us in further development of our service and facilities
