About Us
Rushes House Care Home is a family-owned, independent care home located in the Marple area of Stockport. We are registered to accommodate up to 17 residents, although we typically care for around 14, as three of our rooms are designed for shared occupancy. We are proud to have been rated ‘Good’ by the CQC and provide high-quality residential care, as well as specialist support for individuals living with dementia and mental health needs. We also offer flexible day care services to support individuals and their families within the local community.
Our small, close-knit home offers a warm and homely environment where residents are treated as part of an extended family. We are dedicated to creating a safe, comfortable setting that feels like home rather than an institution. With a strong family ethos, we build genuine relationships with residents and their loved ones, fostering trust, respect, and a real sense of belonging.
Our approach is fully person-centred, recognising that every individual is unique. We take time to understand each resident’s preferences, life history, routines, and aspirations, allowing us to tailor care and support to their specific needs. By promoting dignity, independence, and choice, we empower residents to live fulfilling lives within a compassionate and supportive community.
We also believe strongly in the importance of community connection for wellbeing. By working closely with the local school and encouraging intergenerational interaction, we help residents remain engaged, valued, and connected to the world around them.
